College Football Predictions and Results for FBS 2017 Week 1 (August 26 through September 4)

College Football Predictions and Results for FBS 2017 "Week 1" (August 26 through September 4, using the week numbering employed by the ESPN schedule).

For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, we finished on top in every cagegory. Of course, the first week tends to be much easier than following weeks because many strong teams play many weaker ones:
Our record thus far this season going into the second week of play is:
78-11 in picking the winner
50-34-5 against the spread
24-19 against the CFPT prediction average
and 44-42-3 against the over/under.

Below are the SportPundit predictions for Week 1 of the NCAA Division I FBS College Football Season 2017-2018. Predictions are based primarily on the final post-bowl and post-playoff rankings for the past football season. See the SportPundit Preseason College Football Rankings and Ratings for FBS 2017-2018. We also looked at the past USA Today Sagarin College Football 2016 Ratings, the preseason Massey Ratings for 2017-2018 NCAA I Football and the Dr. Kambour home field advantage calculations. We compose the schedule here using ESPN, NCCA.com and other online sources.

Our system is based -- but not exclusively -- on NAYPPA stats (net average yards per play advantage), calibrated primarily by adjusting for schedule difficulty, i.e. the teams thus far played. We use stats at cfbstats.com. Other adjustments are also made (*=adjustment) because the ypp (yards per play) system is not perfect, often exacerbating stats made against much weaker or much stronger teams, nor can schedule difficulty always be pinpointed with accuracy since many schedules include FCS teams, especially at the beginning of the season.

Caveat emptor (Buyer beware): We make this material available in good fun out of interest for the sport of college football. Please do not rely on our material to place bets or wagers of any kind. No one knows the exact outcome of a game or a season before it is played and that is what makes it so interesting. We disclaim any and all liability for the consequences of anyone relying in any way upon our postings, analysis, links or reasoning - for which we make no warranty of accuracy. May the best team win.

We use opening lines, as far as possible, taking those opening lines primarily from the College Football Prediction Tracker (CFPT), if available when we make our predictions, and the over/unders from Oddsshark and VegasInsider.com but also using the latter's opening odds for games where those are not available at CFPT or posted later. This first week, CFPT had odds initially posted only for August 26 (data from August 24, 2017, 10:17 AM), so we used primarily the odds posted at Oddsshark and VegasInsider.com. We add the over/unders as available. [The CFPT Average was later taken from a CFPT posting dated August 31, 2017, 9:54:43 AM.] All odds and stats are posted here by us WITHOUT ANY guarantee of accuracy, and without any liability on our part for our posted materials or for links to 3rd party sites. We do our predictions here for fun. If odds and stats are important for the reader, the reader must consult the original sites.

Note that we write "were favored". The odds of the opening line are often changed by the time we make our predictions. We do not compete against those changed odds. We use the College Football Prediction Tracker (CFPT) prediction average as of the date that we find it published. Note that there is no line given at CFPT for games between FCS and FBS opponents.

The number in parentheses next to a team name is the FBS team ranking in the SportPundit Preseason College Football Rankings and Ratings for FBS 2017-2018.

Oregon State (72) at Colorado State (69)
-- for the sake of comparison, Sagarin's final USA Today ratings for the past season had Colorado State 72nd and Oregon State 75th
The Rams were favored over the Beavers by 3.5 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Oregon State by 3.60 points. The O/U (over/under) was 60.5 points.
Our Call: 35-30 for Colorado State. Kambour gave the Rams a home field advantage of 4.9828 points for the 2016 season (henceforth simply "Kambour").

Portland State (FCS) at BYU (42)
The Cougars were favored over the  Vikings by 33 points. The O/U (over/under) was 58 points.
Our Call: 38-17 for BYU
Result: BYU struggled to a 20-6 defense-marked win, limiting the unexpectedly tough Vikings to 220 total yards.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is:
2-0 in picking the winner, 2-0 against the spread, 1-0 against the CFPT prediction average, and 2-0 against the over/under.

For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is:
3-0 in picking the winner, 3-0 against the spread, 2-0 against the CFPT prediction average, and 3-0 against the over/under.

South Florida (31) at San Jose State (113)
The Bulls were favored over the Spartans by 19 points. The CFPT prediction average favored South Florida by 17.78 points. The O/U (over/under) was 67 points.
Our Call: 49-20 for South Florida.

The Cardinal were favored over the Owls by 31.5 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Stanford by 31.03 points. The O/U (over/under) was 51 points.
Our Call: 44-17 for Stanford. Stanford beat Rice 41-17 in their final regular season game last season and won their sixth straight game with a 25-23 win over North Carolina in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.
Result: Stanford led 38-0 at halftime as the Cardinal outgained the Owls 656 to 241 yards in a blow-out 62-7 win down under, as Bryce Love rushed for 180 yards and Cameron Scarlett ran for 3 TDs. Quarterback Keller Chryst completed 14 of 24 passes for 253 yards and 2 TDs before being retired to the bench with Stanford leading 45-0.The Cardinal defense held the Owls to a lone TD scored late in the 4th quarter. Does Stanford have a better offense this year?
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is:
5-0 in picking the winner, 4-1 against the spread, 3-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 4-1 against the over/under.

Thursday, August 31

Florida International (FIU) (122) at UCF (Central Florida) (71)
The Knights were favored over the Golden Panthers by 21 points (17.5 points in the updated line, but we use the opening line for our calculations). The CFPT prediction average favored UCF by 15.90 points. The O/U (over/under) was 55 points.
Our Call: 40-17 for UCF. If the UCF Knights can get their offense going this year, they will be an even more improved team than last year's squad, which went from 0-12 to 6-7 and a bowl game under former Husker great Scott Frost's head coaching.
Result:  UCF led 40-10 at haftime, blowing out FIU 61-17, as Knights QB McKenzie Milton completed 16 of 21 passes for 360 yards and 4 TDs and the UCF offense outgained the Golden Panthers 587 to 335 yards.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 6-0 in picking the winner, 5-1 against the spread, 4-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 5-1 against the over/under.

Presbyterian College (FCS) at Wake Forest (67)
The Demon Deacons were favored over the Blue Hose by 43.5 points. The O/U (over/under) was 45 points.
Our Call: 54-7 for Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons have gone from two 3-9 seasons to 7-6 last year including a Military Bowl win over Temple under the head coaching of Dave Clawson, and are likely to be even beter this year. Now in his 4th year, Clawson in 4 years went from 0-11 to 10-3 at Fordham, from 3-8 to 11-3 at Richmond, and from 2-10 to 10-3 at Bowling Green (one can not include the 2009 season as his).
Result: The Demon Deacons led 51-0 after three quarters in a 51-7 win.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 7-0 in picking the winner, 6-1 against the spread, 4-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 6-1 against the over/under.

Austin Peay (FCS) at Cincinnati (99)
The Bearcats were favored over the Governors by 44.5 points. The O/U (over/under) was 59 points.
Our Call: 42-7 for Cincinnati
Result: Luke Fickell had a tough start as the new Cincinnati head coach, as the Bearcats struggled to beat Austin Peay 26-14.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 8-0 in picking the winner, 7-1 against the spread, 4-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 7-1 against the over/under.

Buffalo (121) at Minnesota (53)
The Golden Gophers were favored over the Bulls by 31 points (updated line was 26). The CFPT prediction average favored Minnesota by 26.44 points. The O/U (over/under) was 52 points.
Our Call: 42-17 for Minnesota. Lance Leipold brought high hopes to Buffalo from Wisconsin Whitewater and is in a must win 3rd year after a poor 2016 season. This will be a tough start to get back on track. The Big Ten Golden Gophers, 9-4 last season, have brought in Western Michigan's high-flying P.J. Fleck, a head coaching innovation machine. Really, we have no idea how this game will turn out score-wise, but it could be a good one. Both teams may be greatly improved -- Buffalo has to be -- we shall see.
Result: In a defensive battle, Minnesota topped Buffalo 17-7, so that Buffalo at this point looks improved over last season. The offense may still need work.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 9-0 in picking the winner, 8-1 against the spread, 5-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 7-2 against the over/under.

Tennessee State (FCS) at Georgia State (104)
The Panthers were favored over the Tigers by 15.5 points. The O/U (over/under) was 54.5 points.
Our Call: 27-20 for Georgia State. Last year the Tigers lost by only 35-17 to Vanderbilt so that the Panthers, 3-9 in FBS last year, may be challenged here.
Result: Tennessee State upset Georgia State 17-10.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 9-1 in picking the winner, 9-1 against the spread, 5-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 8-2 against the over/under.

Elon (FCS) at Toledo (49)
The Rockets were favored over the Phoenix by 42 points. The O/U (over/under) was 54.5 points.
Our Call: 66-14 for Toledo. Get out your pocket calculators. The Phoenix were 2-9 last year with a closing 63-14 loss to the James Madison Dukes, who went on to win the FCS championship, defeating perennial winner North Dakota State 27-17 in the semifinal and Youngstown State, under former Husker head coach Bo Pelini, 28-14 in the final. The Rockets averaged a zinging 7.20 yards per play on offense last year, so the score could go high here.
Result: The Rockets led only 19-7 at the half in a 47-13 win.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 10-1 in picking the winner, 9-2 against the spread, 5-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 9-2 against the over/under.

Rhode Island (FCS) at Central Michigan (94)
The Chippewas were favored over the Rams by 31 points. The O/U (over/under) was 56.5 points
Our Call: 48-17 for Central Michigan. Rhode Island is the smallest state in the USA and not known for football powerhouses.
Result: Central Michigan escaped an ignominious defeat in 3 overtimes 30-27 in a heartbreaking loss for the hard-fighting Rams, looking for their first win ever over an FBS opponent.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 11-1 in picking the winner, 9-2-1 against the spread, 5-1 against the CFPT prediction average, and 10-2 against the over/under.

Tulsa (47) at Oklahoma State (23)
The Cowboys were favored over the Golden Hurricane by 10 points (the updated line was 17 points). The CFPT prediction average favored Oklahoma State by 12.73 points. The O/U (over/under) was 45 points.
Our Call: 41-30 for Oklahoma State.
Result: The Cowboys breezed past the Golden Hurrican 59-24.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 12-1 in picking the winner, 10-2-1 against the spread, 5-2 against the CFPT prediction average, and 11-2 against the over/under.

Holy Cross (FCS) at Connecticut (120)
The Huskies were favored over the Crusaders by 22.5 points. The O/U (over/under) was 49.5 points
Our Call: 34-17 for UConn.
Result: UConn trailed 20-3 at halftime but rallied for a 27-20 win.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 13-1 in picking the winner, 11-2-1 against the spread, 5-2 against the CFPT prediction average, and 11-3 against the over/under.

North Dakota (FCS) at Utah (38)
The Huskies were favored over the Crusaders by 22.5 points. The O/U (over/under) was 49.5 points

Result: The Utes downed the Fighting Hawks 37-16.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 14-1 in picking the winner, 12-2-1 against the spread, 5-2 against the CFPT prediction average, and 12-3 against the over/under.

Ohio State (3) at Indiana (45)
The Buckeyes were favored over the Hoosiers by 21 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Ohio State by 19.17 points. The O/U (over/under) was 51 points.
Our Call: 41-17 for Ohio State
Result: The Buckeyes trailed 14-13 at halftime and 21-20 in the 3rd quarter before pulling away to win handily 49-21.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 15-1 in picking the winner, 13-2-1 against the spread, 6-2 against the CFPT prediction average, and 13-3 against the over/under.

Result: Memphis led 30-7 in the 3rd quarter before the Warhawks forged a comeback bid in a 37-29 loss to the Tigers.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 17-1 in picking the winner, 13-4-1 against the spread, 6-3 against the CFPT prediction average, and 14-4 against the over/under.

Our Call: 42-7 for Idaho.
Result: The Vandals topped the Hornets 28-6.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 18-1 in picking the winner, 13-4-1 against the spread, 6-3 against the CFPT prediction average, and 14-4 against the over/under.

New Mexico State (118) at Arizona State (86)
The Sun Devils were favored over the Aggies by 26 points (23.5 in the updated line). The CFPT prediction average favored Arizona State by 19.00 points. The O/U (over/under) was 70.5 points.
Our Call: 45-27 for Arizona State.
Result: The Sun Devils struggled to a 37-31 win over New Mexico State.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 19-1 in picking the winner, 14-4-1 against the spread, 7-3 against the CFPT prediction average, and 14-5 against the over/under.

Friday, September 1

Fordham (FCS) at Army (West Point) (93)
The Black Kngiths were favored over the Rams by 20 points. The O/U (over/under) was 59.5 points.
Our Call: 38-17 for Army.
Result: The Black Knights rushed for 513 rushing yards plus zero yards on two pass incompletions and blitzed the Rams 64-6, as Ahmad Bradshaw carried the ball nine times for a career-high 177 yards and two TDs.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 20-1 in picking the winner, 15-4-1 against the spread, 7-3 against the CFPT prediction average, and 14-6 against the over/under.

Charlotte (123) at Eastern Michigan (90)
The Eagles were favored over the 49ers by 12.5 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Eastern Michgan by 14.67 points. The O/U (over/under) was 55 points.
Our Call: 38-23 for Eastern Michigan.
Result: In a surprisingly low-scoring game, the Eagles topped the 49ers 24-7.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 21-1 in picking the winner, 16-4-1 against the spread, 8-3 against the CFPT prediction average, and 14-7 against the over/under.

Central Connecticut (FCS) at Syracuse (89)
The Orange were favored over the Blue Devils by 45.5 points. The O/U (over/under) was 60 points.

Our Call: 42-7 for Syracuse.
Result: Syracuse beat Central Connecticut 50-7 as Eric Dungey rushed for 51 yards and 2 TDs and completed 28 of 36 passes for 328 yards and 3 TDs with no picks.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 22-1 in picking the winner, 17-4-1 against the spread, 8-3 against the CFPT prediction average, and 15-7 against the over/under.

Navy (65) at Florida Atlantic (FAU) (126)
The Midshipmen were favored over the Owls by 21 points (updated line 13 points). The CFPT prediction average favored Navy by 16.45 points. The O/U (over/under) was 69.5 points. Lane Kiffin is the new head coach of the Owls (so named on December 13, 2016), coming to Florida from his previous position as offensive coordinator for the Alabama Crimson Tide, and he has assembled a top staff and a top recruiting class of players to add to an experienced roster, so one expects Florida Atlantic to be better this year than last year's 3-9 record. Navy was 9-5 last season, losing their last 3 games. Look for a wide open offense for FAU under former Baylor offensive coordinator Kendall Briles -- but can they stop the Navy running game?
Our Call: 41-38 for Florida Atlantic.
Result: Well, we blew this risky call, thinking that Kiffin and crew might forge an upset, which did not happen, as the Midshipmen rushed for 416 yards and prevailed 42-19 in a game delayed three times by lightning. FAU managed 286 passing and only 40 yards rushing in a weak offensive performance.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 22-2 in picking the winner, 17-5-1 against the spread, 8-4 against the CFPT prediction average, and 15-8 against the over/under.

Colorado State (69) at Colorado (28)
The Buffaloes were favored over the Rams by 8 points (updated lined 7 points). The CFPT prediction average favored Colorado by 5.25 points. The O/U (over/under) was 63 points.
Our Call: 40-21 for the Colorado Buffaloes.
Result: Colorado prevailed over in-state arch-rival Colorado State 17-3, limiting without a TD a team that had scored 58 points in its season opener against Oregon State. However, the Rams did outgain the Buffaloes, 397 to 345 yards, but turned the ball over three times.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 23-2 in picking the winner, 18-5-1 against the spread, 9-4 against the CFPT prediction average, and 16-8 against the over/under.

Washington (6) at Rutgers (110)
The Huskies were favored over the Scarlet Knights by 33 points (updated line 30.5 points). The CFPT prediction average favored Washington by 30.78 points. The O/U (over/under) was 52.5 points.
Our Call: 49-7 for Washington.
Result: Either Rutgers is vastly improved or Washington is over-rated, as the Huskies led only 10-7 at halftime in an unimpressive 30-14 win in which Rutgers had ball control for over 38 minutes. 2nd-year Rutgers head coach Chris Ash came to New Jersey from a position as co-defensive-coordinator of the Ohio State Buckeyes and their national championship  team in 2014, so we surmise that Rutgers will be much better this year under his ongoing leadership.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 24-2 in picking the winner, 18-6-1 against the spread, 9-5 against the CFPT prediction average, and 16-9 against the over/under.

Utah State (91) at Wisconsin (8)
The Badgers were favored over the Aggies by 34 points (updated line 28.5 points). The CFPT prediction average favored Wisconsin by 28.89 points. The O/U (over/under) was 49 points.
Our Call: 47-7 for Wisconsin.
Result: The Badgers spotted the Aggies a 10-0 lead after the first quarter of play and were tied 10-10 at halftime. After the intermission, it was "On Wisconsin", who scored 49 more points for a 59-10 victory. Badger safety Joe Ferguson, grandson of Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez, returned a pass interception 99 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter. All in the family!
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 25-2 in picking the winner, 19-6-1 against the spread, 10-5 against the CFPT prediction average, and 17-9 against the over/under.

Boston College (66) at Northern Illinois (79)
The Eagles were favored over the Huskies by 2 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Boston College by 0.75 points. The O/U (over/under) was 46.5 points.
Our Call: 27-24 for Boston College.
Result: Boston College prevailed 23-20 over Northern Illinois.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 26-2 in picking the winner, 20-6-1 against the spread, 11-5 against the CFPT prediction average, and 17-10 against the over/under.

Saturday, September 2

Kent State (111) at Clemson (2)
The Tigers were favored over the Golden Flashes by 40 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Clemson by 40.34 points. The O/U (over/under) was 51 points.
Our Call: 45-7 for Clemson. The Clemson offense is very likely to be less potent without Deshaun Watson, with former backup Kelly Bryant now at starting QB, and the only question appears to be, how much weaker. The Kent State head coach Paul Haynes is on sudden medical leave and the interim head coach will be Don Treadwell.
Result: Clemson throttled the Golden Flashes 56-3, outgaining Kent State 665 to 120 yards. For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 27-2 in picking the winner, 20-7-1 against the spread, 11-6 against the CFPT prediction average, and 18-10 against the over/under.

Wyoming (68) at Iowa (27)
The Hawkeyes were favored over the Cowboys by 13 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Iowa by 13.03 points. The O/U (over/under) was 55 points.
Our Call: 34-27 for Iowa.
Result: Iowa beat Wyoming 24-3 although their total offense advantage was only 263 to 233 yards in a defensive contest.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 28-2 in picking the winner, 20-8-1 against the spread, 11-7 against the CFPT prediction average, and 18-11 against the over/under.

Bowling Green (108) at Michigan State (46)
The Spartans were favored over the Falcons by 18.5 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Michigan State by 15.04 points. The O/U (over/under) was 56.5 points.
Our Call: 42-17 for Michigan State.
Result: The Spartans topped Bowling Green 35-10.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 29-2 in picking the winner, 21-8-1 against the spread, 12-7 against the CFPT prediction average, and 18-12 against the over/under.

Ball State (102) at Illinois (82) (inadvertently deleted in previous postings)
The Illini were favored over the Cardinals by 11 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Illinois by 7.90 points. The O/U (over/under) was 58 points.
Our Call: 36-24 for Illinois.
Result: The Illini escaped with a 24-21 win over the Cardinals.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 30-2 in picking the winner, 21-9-1 against the spread, 12-8 against the CFPT prediction average, and 18-13 against the over/under.

Akron (97) at Penn State (7)
The Nittany Lions were favored over the Zips by 35 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Penn State by 32.77 points. The O/U (over/under) was 63.5 points.
Our Call: 47-17  for Penn State.
Result: The Nittany Lions mauled the Zips 52-0.
For the 1st Week of the 2017 college football season, our record thus far is: 31-2 in picking the winner, 21-10-1 against the spread, 12-9 against the CFPT prediction average, and 18-14 against the over/under.

Maryland (76) at Texas (54)
The Longhorns were favored over the Terrapins by 17.5 points. The CFPT prediction average favored Texas by 12.26 points. The O/U (over/under) was 56 points.

And you know where Howard is located, right? But really, in Washington D.C. ?? How often does a 45-point underdog upset their opponent in college football? The answer is never. Howard managed just that amazing feat with a 43-40 win over UNLV, setting a new record. What a debut this was for Howard's 1st-year Bison head coach Mike London and what a win for FCS Howard, 2-9 last season in FCS!  Talk about a likely aftermath recruiting bonanza at Howard. "It's not a football school right now. It will be." Don Steinberg quoting Caylin Newton -- for something he said a month ago! See Don Steinberg at Twitter @dcsportsbog

We have relatives in Tennessee with whom we shared the joy of the Vols two-overtime 42-41 win over the Yellow Jackets, in spite of giving up 535 yards rushing and being outgained 655 to 369 yards total offense, as Georgia Tech earned the dubious honor of being "the eighth Power 5 team since 2006 to lose when outgaining an opponent by 250 yards."

  • Sky Earth Native America 2 :
American Indian Rock Art Petroglyphs Pictographs
Cave Paintings Earthworks & Mounds as Land Survey & Astronomy
    ,
Volume 2, Edition 2, 262 pages, by Andis Kaulins.

  • Both volumes have the same cover except for the labels "Volume 1" viz. "Volume 2".
The image on the cover was created using public domain space photos of Earth from NASA.

    -----

Both book volumes contain the following basic book description:
"Alice Cunningham Fletcher observed in her 1902 publication in the American Anthropologist
that there is ample evidence that some ancient cultures in Native America, e.g. the Pawnee in Nebraska,
geographically located their villages according to patterns seen in stars of the heavens.
See Alice C. Fletcher, Star Cult Among the Pawnee--A Preliminary Report,
    American Anthropologist, 4, 730-736, 1902.
    Ralph N. Buckstaff wrote:
"These Indians recognized the constellations as we do, also the important stars,
drawing them according to their magnitude.
The groups were placed with a great deal of thought and care and show long study.
    ... They were keen observers....
The Pawnee Indians must have had a knowledge of astronomy comparable to that of the early white men."
See Ralph N. Buckstaff, Stars and Constellations of a Pawnee Sky Map,
    American Anthropologist, Vol. 29, Nr. 2, April-June 1927, pp. 279-285, 1927.
In our book, we take these observations one level further
and show that megalithic sites and petroglyphic rock carving and pictographic rock art in Native America,
together with mounds and earthworks, were made to represent territorial geographic landmarks
placed according to the stars of the sky using the ready map of the starry sky
in the hermetic tradition, "as above, so below".
That mirror image of the heavens on terrestrial land is the "Sky Earth" of Native America,
whose "rock stars" are the real stars of the heavens, "immortalized" by rock art petroglyphs, pictographs,
cave paintings, earthworks and mounds of various kinds (stone, earth, shells) on our Earth.
    These landmarks were placed systematically
in North America, Central America (Meso-America) and South America
and can to a large degree be reconstructed as the Sky Earth of Native America."
