College Football Prediction Results for Week 11 of the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS Season

We thus finished Week 11 of the 2019 FBS college football season as follows:
32-16 in calling the winner
27-21 against the spread, and
23-23-2 against the over/under.

Our cumulative FBS prognostication record for 2019 after Week 11 is:

The Bobcats were favored over the RedHawks by 9 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 52 points.
Our Call: 31-24 for Ohio.
Result: Sam Sloman kicked a late 4th-quarter 53-yard field goal for Miami of Ohio for the Redhawks win 24-21. The Ohio Bobcats outgained Miami of Ohio 374 to 278 yards but turned the ball over twice on fumbles and gave up a deflected TD pass.

Louisiana (UL Lafayette) at Coastal Carolina
The Ragin' Cajuns were favored over the Chanticleers by 12.5 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 57.5 points.
Our Call: 34-23 for Louisiana.
Result: Louisiana coasted past Coastal Carolina 48-7, as Levi Lewis completed 26 of 30 passes for 296 yards and 3 TDs, and added another TD rushing.

Temple at South Florida
The Owls were favored over the Bulls by 1.5 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 53 points.
Our Call: 27-24 for Temple.
Result: Temple topped South Florida 17-7, as the Owls' defense held the Bulls to 61 yards rushing.

UCF Central Florida at Tulsa
The Knights were favored over the Golden Hurricane by 12.5 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 69.5 points.
Our Call: 45-24 for UCF.
Result: UCF outgained Tulsa 457 to 353 yards but had three turnovers and lost 34-31, being outscored 17-3 in the second half. A question of coaching and game adjustments?

Result: Charlotte trailed 21-7 at the half but rallied in the second half for a 28-21 win.

South Alabama at Texas State
The Bobcats were favored over the Jaguars by 7.5 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 44.5 points.
Our Call: 24-20 for Texas State.
Result: Texas State edged South Alabama 30-28.

Stanford at Colorado
The Cardinal were favored over the Buffaloes by 3.5 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 53.5 points.
Our Call: 31-27 for Stanford.
Result: Colorado beat Stanford 16-13 on a game-ending field goal by Evan Price, dropping the Cardinal to a 4-5 won-lost record. Stanford has games left against Washington State, Cal and Notre Dame and is thus unlikely to go to a bowl game this season. Colorado is 4-6 with games remaining against Washington and Utah and is similarly not likely to be bowl-bound this year.

The Spartans were favored over the Fighting Illini by 13.5 points.

Result: Illinois became bowl-eligible by coming back incredibly from a 28-3 deficit and upsetting Michigan State 37-34.

LSU at Alabama
The Crimson Tide were favored over the Tigers by 7 points.
The over/under (predicted total score) was 63 points.
Our Call: 31-30 for LSU.
Result: LSU led 33-13 at halftime and survived a Crimson Tide comeback as the Tigers edged Alabama 46-41 in a thriller. LSU's Joe Burrow cemented his front-running Heisman Trophy candidate status by completing 31 of 39 passes for 393 yards and 3 TDs, adding 64 yards rushing on 14 carries. Bama's QB Tua Tagovailoa was 21 of 40 passes for 418 yards, 4 TDs, one interception, and one fumble. The Alabama defense produced 5 sacks, but it was not enough.
